Festival history
Festa del Monte is one of the most meaningful events in Racalmuto. Over time it has become a shared moment where spirituality, local memory, and community participation naturally come together.
The celebration is not only religious. It is also living cultural heritage, with processions, music, craftsmanship, and social moments that strengthen the bond between local identity and territory.

Living tradition
U Ciliu
One of the most anticipated moments of Festa del Monte is the descent of the cilii: the three historic ones (Burgisi, Ugliara, and Cicirara) plus the newer Cilio degli Emigrati, created to strengthen ties with Racalmuto people abroad.
